External wall insulation (EWI) wraps the outside of a solid or poorly-insulated home in a continuous insulating layer, dramatically reducing heat loss. We coordinate the whole project from assessment to render finish.
What is involved
A staged project, managed door to door.
External wall insulation is a bigger intervention than loft or cavity work. It typically involves scaffolding, fitting insulation boards to the outside of the walls, mechanical fixings, a base coat with reinforcement mesh, and a finishing render. Done well, it lifts the thermal performance of the whole envelope and transforms how the home feels.
